The department is focused on research in the fields of radio electronics, signal processing, optoelectronics, automation of measurement and independent electric power sources for the military purpose. The projects solve improved dynamic and frequency range for analogue signal processing and pre-processing, analogue filter design options, new approximations, optimising of high frequency filters, the non-standard digital filter design methods for digital signal processing, physical quantities optic fibre sensors analysis/design methods, optic fibre components parameter measurements, atmospheric optical communication, development of measuring workplaces for military electronic systems, graphic programming tools for automated measuring systems, mobile and renewable electric power sources. The department has yielded significant long-term results in publication and grant awards, especially with the Czech National Grant Agency.
