The department’s research focuses at upgrade and automation of communication and information systems, analysis methods of their operation, at the signal processing and analysis theory development, further at information systems designing methods, data storages and data mining, at e-learning application to military university education conditions, at radio monitoring, interference and hidden transmissions and at communication and information system security, at simulation technology application and wider utilisation within the ACR, at research and development under Linux operation system, at computer network security, at real-time operation systems and at designing and implementation of hybrid propulsion autonomous vehicle.  Research also pays attention to developing and introducing the NEC concept into the ACR.
