Faculty studies characteristics and scope
FMT guarantees studies in the following accredited study programmes:
- the Bachelor’s study programme “Military Technology”
- the follow up Master’s study programme “Military Technology”
- the Doctoral study programme “Military Technology”
The Bachelor’s study programme “Military Technology”
The main objective of the Bachelor’s study programme is to prepare academic military experts for the means of various engineering-managerial positions in the Czech Army at the level under independent unit. Within the cognitive domain it means, that the graduates are generally well-informed in the areas of politics, law and culture; successfully use knowledge and skills, acquire, classify and efficiently communicate the information, qualitatively take control over their subordinates and independently solves nonstandard situations. Within the affective domain, the education of students towards patriotism, civic responsibility, democracy and humanism is emphasized.
The study programme displays the needs and requirements of MoD and other particular branches of the Czech Army as well as Bachelor’s studies general standards. The studies concentrate on the military-engineering qualification of the Czech military professionals in the following branches of study:
The follow up Master’s study programme “Military Technology”
The main objective of the Master’s study programme is to educate academic military specialists on behalf of the various engineering-managerial positions within the Czech Army at the level under independent unit and over. The study programme is based on the needs and requirements of MoD and other particular branches of the Czech Army as well as the Master’s study general standards. Studies are concentrated on the military engineering qualification of the Czech military professionals in the same branches of study as the Bachelor’s study programme.
Doctoral study programme
The main objective of the doctoral study programme is to educate specialists with the ability to create and use scientific methods and work at the world standard level in their particular branch of study. The graduates of this study programme gain the theoretical background, enabling them to be involved in the research projects related to their branch and successfully carry out the tasks linked with their academic preparation. Especially, development of creative abilities of independent attitude to solve complex problems of latest military technology lay in the centre of attention. The graduates of this study programme are intended to work for the faculty, the university or other universities as well as research institutes, or man the highest technical positions in the military forces or defence industry.
